Improve your CV this term... and you may win a prize!

The contest begins on February 22 and ends on April 9.

The contest is open to Lincoln students age 20 and older that are not participating in another contest at the Lincoln Center.

CV Contest Terms and Conditions

 

 

1. The contest begins on February 22 and ends on April 9.

 

2. This contest is open to students age 20 and older that are not participating in another contest at the Lincoln Center.

** If you are under 20, BUT your teacher has informed you that your class will be writing CVs, you may participate**

 

 

3. No Lincoln student is required to participate and this project will not affect your grade.

 

4. CVs should not be longer than two pages.

 

5. By submitting your CV, you give the Lincoln Center permission to use your CV partially or in complete form. This includes creating links to your CV on the Lincoln blog and website.

 

6. Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

a) English grammar, punctuation and spelling.

b) English vocabulary and fluency

c) Clarity and design

 

7. Entries will be judged through the following process:
   1. After the contest has closed on April 9, each classroom teacher will choose a winner for their class. The winner in each classroom will mail their CV to lincolncvcontest@gmail.com email.

 

**If the student does not have access to email, the teacher should sign the winning student’s paper. The student should then take the signed essay to the receptionist**

 

2. Then, the Lincoln Administrative staff will select the top 3 CVs.

 

8. The 1^st place winner of the contest will receive a 50% scholarship for their next course at the Lincoln Center and a Lincoln hat. If this person does not take a course at the Lincoln Center, the prize is not redeemable in cash.

 

9. Those in 2^nd and 3^rd place will receive a Lincoln hat and an additional prize.
